Once you log in, go through the steps to pledge online via payroll deduction, credit card or direct bill.
Receipt:
United Way does not receive your emails for solicitation, but you can provide an email for RECEIPT purposes only. If you do not wish to provide email for a receipt, you can print the pledge page at any time.
Select an amount to see the impact your pledge would have on children in St. Louis:
2 Hearing screenings for school-age children in St. Louis
5 Inhalers for children in need or 10 children in need with breakfast for a week
10 Flu shots for infants in need
7 Sets of play therapy supplies to counsel children who have been traumatized or 25 hearing screenings for school-age children
3 Children in need with shoes and clothing for an entire school year or 6 sets of books for literacy programs serving children in need
1 Substance abuse prevention program to a school or 3 children who are in need with after-school tutoring for a month
16 Children in need with shoes and clothing for an entire school year
16 Children who are in need with after-school tutoring for a month or 62 sets of books for literacy programs serving children in need
Important Notes
- Agency designations
You have the option to make a designation via e-pledge to suit your giving preferences. If you wish, you can select one or more agencies of your choosing. View all of the agencies United Way supports online. - Leadership pledging
If you are making a leadership donation of $1,000 or more, you have the opportunity to select a United Way Leadership Society within the e-Pledge system. - Gifts of Stock
Please visit the United Way website for information about donating via a Donor Advised Fund. - No cash will be accepted through WashU.
- Paper Pledge Cards
No paper pledge cards will be accepted via WashU. If you wish to print a paper pledge: print and mail the pledge card directly to United Way of Greater St. Louis (address below). - Pledge by Check
WashU will not accept paper checks. All paper check pledges for the WashU United Way Campaign should be mailed directly to United Way (you can designate WashU as your employer on the pledge card). Print a pledge card and mail to:- United Way of Greater St. Louis

Your privacy is important. To keep Washington University employee information private, you are not required to share any contact information (unless you select a pledge method which requires mailing address or other information), nor will it be used for any solicitation from United Way.
United Way Incentives
Any WashU Staff or Faculty member who volunteers or donates at any dollar amount will receive a “WashU United Way” journal.
Any WashU Staff or Faculty member who donates $100 or greater will receive a “WashU United Way” umbrella.
