2025 United Way Campaign
When we give our time or resources to help others, we strengthen our community—and ourselves. Supporting the United Way is a meaningful way to make an impact and connect to something bigger.
The need is urgent. Today, 43% of households in our region struggle to meet essential needs such as rent, utilities, food, transportation, and medical care. Through a network of 160 nonprofit partners across 16 counties, the United Way helps one in three people in our region—more than one million neighbors each year. With your support, families receive food, shelter, and housing assistance; children benefit from early education, after-school programs, and mentoring; and individuals access mental health care, addiction recovery, and crisis response.
Introducing WashU Serves
WashU Serves is a new, year-round initiative that reflects our university-wide commitment to be “In St. Louis, For St. Louis.” Through Service Saturdays, the annual United Way campaign, and a new WashU & United Way volunteer portal, students, faculty, and staff can easily find ways to give back, get involved, and make an impact across the region.
